Learn pointed pen calligraphy from home! In this workshop I will teach you the fundamentals of modern calligraphy, a free-form style that is all about personalizing your writing, using a pointed pen. In the first part of class, you will be guided through how to use a dip pen effectively. Then you will practice the basic strokes that make up all letters, learn a calligraphy alphabet, and create both faux and pointed pen calligraphy.

You will need several supplies for this class, including a dip pen with a nib (Nikko G recommended), sumi ink, smooth practice paper, and a regular pen or marker. I've partnered with my favorite calligraphy supplier John Neal Bookseller to offer kits with my preferred supplies at a discounted rate.

Due to the current health crisis, this workshop is "pay what you can". The suggested ticket price is $35, but I understand that's not possible for everyone right now.
